Black magic paint

Featured Replies

Hi, I had another post about my wing mirror being scratched and I would like to know where can i buy some black magic paint to restore the colour. I'm not sure how to remove the dents and was thinking just to paint over it. I presume that sanding will make it worse as more paint will be removed. Any help would be greatly appreciated:O

Depending on how bad the scratch is, you could probably polish it with something like T-Cut or Meguairs Scratch-X. They usually get rid of small scratches.

Failing that, you can get touch-up kits from any dealer (around £5 for a touch up pen of paint & lacqeur).

I bought an aerosol of Black Magic paint from a local auto paint supplier. I think that was around £11 for a 500ml tin & £5 for the clear lacqeur.

The trick with Black Magic paint (as with all metallic & pearl paints) is to rub the top coat down with fine grit paper & then apply the lacqeur.

You can get BlackMagic Skoda touch up kits from Halfords also.
