Sports suspension?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what the difference between the standard suspension and the sports suspension is, other than the ride height? Is it just springs?

Also, how different is the sports suspension option to the vRS suspension?

Thanks. :)

FYI, I've had a response from Skoda on the matter:

I have spoken to our Technical Team and they have advised me that the sports suspension on the new Octavia and the new Octavia vRS will be very similar. They are both lower and stiffer than the standard Octavia.

I can advise you that any type of quantifying information of this nature is not currently held. Obtaining this information would involve a like for like comparison. The suspension may vary according to engine specification and gearbox options as varying spring rates and dampers are used.

looking forward to getting it eh Rob ;) bet ya can't wait to be able to go around corners! lol...

On a TDI the sports suspension is very very nice :D

But if you're talking about that sort of money, you might as well get proper aftermarket suspension ;)

Correct, however this one doesn't affect a dealer warrenty and it really does make the car handle well.
