Selling photos on-line?

Featured Replies

Anyone done this? Any sites they'd recommend?

You could try a 'Pro Gallery' with Photobox

Photobox.co.uk

There are other alternatives, like using the Open Source "Gallery" software, then linking each image to a PayPal purchase page, but believe me, this is a LOT of work!

There are other solutions, but most require a monthly fee, or a heavy setup charge, and unless the pics you're thinking of selling are very, very good, you'll be lucky to sell any!

Are you wanting to sell prints, or licence the actual images themselves?

Dunno, twas just a thought......

I've tried selling prints online, using a couple of different methods now, and frankly I've all but given up :o

It's a lot of work, and for generally almost no return.

I've sold a few, but nowhere near enough to recoup the costs of my time setting things up.

I use a Photobox Gallery ... Gallery link but I haven't done anything with this for ages. Maybe I should :P

Alternatively, sell the images themselves, using an agency. I use Alamy.com. You can get good money for a licenced image ...

Ask Lorna.
