Hey and girls

car going in for MOT today, i`m suspecting it may need new brakes, or pads, any ideas what is roughly expected to pay for them.

Also what are the symptoms for needing new Cv joints, i have a creaking from front wheels when i start off in a turn and on the straight.

any help is always appreciated

CV joints normally knock at full lock rather than creak.

OK so i guess it might not be that then, hmmm i wonder what is wrong now then...bloody car getting right on my nerves at the moment

and the ARB is? and how expensive please, just spent £840 on it for flywheels clutch and release bearing, sure it wasnt making that noise before actually

Arb bushes are cheap, and arb isn't exactly cheap if you pay main dealer prices.

try lubeing up the arb bushes and see if this helps matters. If it does, inspect the arb where it meets the bushes and if the thing looks ok change the arb and bushes.
