I bought a second hand fabia which had c/locking and wanted it to be remote too. So I asked the dealer to put the remote c/locking in and it works a treat. However, I now have the key for unlocking/starting engine and a fob for unlocking and would really like to combine these into one of those "flip keys" where the two are one unit. Would I have to get a flip key from dealer / flee bay, and get the key cut and coded (so the immobiliser works) and program the remote locking?

Or is there a way of removing the actual "key" part from my key and putting it into the flip key?

Finally, how much would it cost for me to get one of these flip keys up and running?

You need to have the blade cut. There is a guy on ebay that was doing them from a digital image for sub £10. My dad used him a while ago - no problems.

I don't know if you'd be able to match the C/L to the flip type key though.

The retro fit CDL kit isnt compatable with the factory type remote CDL, you dont have the control unit etc to work it.
