New skoda for me = new member for briskoda

Featured Replies

Hi!!

vRS_Si introduced me to this forum. I'm a general car entusiast, and have spent several years owning a fe different cars.

My most recent run was a Fiat Bravo 1.4S(80bhp) then a Fiat Bravo 1.8 HLX(115bhp). Thats 2 of the same cars at near oppsite ends of the scale as far as power and trim, lol.

Well, i'm looking likely to do the same with the Octavia. Last week I bought my fathers 02 1.9 SDI Classic(68) in green. Not only is it my last choice of engine, but my last choice in trim level(its got NOTHING) and my last choice in colour too, lol

It was a very good price though, and as i just sold my bravo, it worked out as a nice gap-filler.

I've discovered that its actually quite a nice car and i think if i replace it with a TDI 130 or similar and in a higher trim, i'd love it like i loved my last 2 fiats.

I was originally planning on getting a mondeo Zetec 130, but at more than twice the price, i think i should not complain!

I'm gonna give it a good clean and take some pics tomorrow, weather permitting (forecast is for rain though)

Oh, my dads replacement car is a VW Passat TDI 105 SE in grey, and its looooovely. might just keep the Octavia for 2 years and buy that from him cheap too!

My aim is/was to buy myself an ST TDCI Mondeo around the time of my 26th birthday. I do about 20k miles a year, so diesel is the most sensible option for me. If only there was an Octavia vRS diesel in my price-range! (which is considerable less than the new asking price)

Well, hello anyway, i've said a bit, mostly nonsense(it IS 2:30am after all!)

i'm off to read all about Octavias and vRS's now :D

Nice intro :)
