Can I get an alarm fitted so it would work off the key fob and what are the prices,knowing the the Vrs does`nt have an alarm

I believe you can, I got quotes of about £300 from the likes of Hickleys (Meta) and Cobra but have yet to have one installed.

Some people on here say Skoda recommend one (scorpion I think) but my local dealer have been less than forthcoming with info, despite asking them at least 3 times!

Toad or Sigma M32 are two names that crop up a lot but I never found anyone locally who'd supply and fit one for me.

i had a cobra 2-1 blip upgrade alarm fitted to mine it turns the existing imobiliser into a cat 1 and also you get a cat 1 aralm fitted that operates off the skoda remote fitted cost is about £280 with the vat if you need any info let me know

Hey Ali C, what you need is a Security upgrade for OEM Keyless entry System.

This type of alarms work in conjuntion with your factory Skoda remote control so you dont have to carry a aditional remote controy with your key.

Check if you can find the brand VIPER or HORNET. This alarms are manufactured by the same people that manufacture the CLIFFORD. You can check Directed Electronics – Vehicle Security fore more info.

I have myself the Hornet on both of my Skodas and work exellent.
