I've been an idiot and bought a Symphony cd play from e-bay (came from Czeck Repubic seller in Germany) It does not play cds, it seems that there is a motor fault as the cd does not spin when inserted. The seller does not want to know.

Does anyone know where i can get it fixed, guess this could be expensive

Did you pay via paypal. If you did, complian to paypal and say it as it is. "item is not as decribed"

Get your money back.

If you go down that route paypal may require you to send the item back to the seller, even then there is a possibility you will get nothing.

Try taking the cover off, it should be easy and have a look at the spindle to see if its ok, who knows there could be another CD stuck inside.

I did pay with Paypal so i have logged a dispute, but am not too hopeful of getting my money back.

The first thing i did when i found the thing did not work was take a look inside, all looks ok but when the cd is loaded it does not spin. So if anyone can offer any more assistance iwould be grateful.

But anyone thinking of buying one from abroad BEWARE.

I have found that you can reset the CD drive with VAG-COM if there is a fault code logged.
