My '04 Fabia vRS produces a "squish" sound as soon as the key is turned to on. I suspect this is the fuel system pressurising, but is it normal?

I get a whiring noise when the drivers door is opened on my 01 furby, but not with other doors. It could be the fuel system as you suggested priming.

agreed... it is a wierd sound.... I have it on my 1.4 TDi as well.... D

does it on mine also but only when the tank is down to half way , makes no noise if its above that , but as everybody has said its normal

Yep mine squishes too.

Pressurising the pump before injection and take off me thinks.

(i 2 was concerned about this but didn`t like to post, glad it`s normal)

Mine should, but the sensor on my drivers do that makes the interior lights come on etc isnt working and i dont even know where it is on the door, anyone got a clue?
