Rear calipers

Featured Replies

Has anyone else had problems with the seals needing replaced on an Octy Vrs (51 plate).

Last summer my brakes were binding so badly that the pads needed changed and it was down to the caliper requiring a strip down clean and the seals replaced.

It has now started doing the same on the other side at the rear. The car was on a ramp to have the exhaust looked at and I thought I would turn the wheels as one alloy at the rear has been affected by brake dust worse than the rest, I had to use a fair bit of pressure to turn the wheel where as the wheel at the other side would turn with one finger and kept turn after whereas the other stopped immediately.

Any info and past experiences would be appreciated.

I had a thought later last night, it couldn't be the wheel bearing could it?

There is no noise coming from the rear well apart from the sound that a disk and pad making contact.
