Dashboard Cleaner

Featured Replies

Now, I know this is a rather strange thing to ask, but I am going to ask it anyway.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a dashboard cleaner for the Octavia?

I find the Skoda dashboards quite rough and have yet to find something that really works for me.

I know, it's a blonde thread

I bought some Megs. dasboard wipes last Friday, and they do the job well.

If you find my car, they are in the boot, and you can have them, along with the other £100 worth of cleaning products, and the £50 worth of microfibres, and my coat, and approx 50 cd's etc etc.

I got some anti-static cockpit shine a few months ago from Costco. Smells nice and the dash is still dust free

Poorboys cleaner works for me

Ditto

this stuff works a treat, I use their leather treatment for the part leather on the vrs to.

Sorry to derail the thread a bit, but the perspex covering the dials seems to have waterspot marks on it that i cant shift.

i have tried window cleaner and dashboard wipes, any other suggestions?

If the dash in mine is just dusty and not dirty i just use the microfibre cloth, does a really good job on the windscreen too.

Autoglym Interior shampoo, works on plastics too and doesn't leave it all shiny either :)

I use armourall matt black, can be a bit streaky if you use too much. regarding the water spots I have them too. Not sure what they are but can't get rid of them...

Hmm, both in Scottish Octy's......could this be a hint that it rains alot?

Yes the scottish weather is a bit wet.... but inside the car.!!!!!...

I've found Meg's Natural Shine to be very good & despite the marketing name actually leaves a nice matt finish:thumbup:

Autoglym Vinyl and Trim cleaner..round about a fiver works on all plastic inside and out. I've used it on all mine for years inlcuding the current fleet.

I've always used a damp cloth on the dash and most plastics inside the car to keep that matt finish. I don't like that minicab shine you get with a lot of cleaners.

I cleaned the inside of my car today with the usual damp cloth but instead I used some of SWMBO's vaporesse ironing water, worked like a charm and the car smells great now! :D Gave the seats and other fabric bits a wipe with it as well.

She'll go mental when she finds I've used it all up.
