Sunstrip - what to do?

Featured Replies

Simple Q this - The car I'm now F'in determined to buy next weekend will be coming with some nice tinted windows and a black sunstrip.

As far as I know this is not to the same degree as monsieur Ffelan's car, but similar I guess. So what's the most useful thing to do with a black sunstrip. Surely a "briskoda.net" in white alll the way across it?

I'll have to get dimensions once I possess the vehicle, but Paul? I could really do with any info about where your "small" lettering on black sunstrip came from. :D

Cheers

can get you one made up... just need a fabia to measure..

oops ... got one in the car park..

will nip down to sticker man next week and get it sorted...

silver on black?

or Jason one side and ....victim the other?

Paul - does your supplier do the clingly ones like the "briskoda" things...could be interested in getting something made up... :D

perhaps "Jason" and "open to offers" would be best. :D

But, yeah, if you can do a bit of measuring and a

will remove with hairdryer.

not re-useable.

Fair enough! It's gonna stay then. :D

I was just wondering about the attention it may bring from local Kevs!

But does he do clingy stickers? Not sunstrips, as the 'bo' look isn't really what I'm after... :D

Bo Selecta.....

Sunstrips - word of warning!

If your doing it yourself, I might advise that this is not a good time of year to try unless you can get a nice warm garage. Apply enough water and washing up liquid to ease application means in this cold weather it takes ages to dry and bond to the screen, you will therefore quickly end up with grit under the strip and creases. I know I tried about this time last year. Fitted on in the summer and loads better results..

Jason, better get the sunstrip printed upside-down, just in case ;)

Instead of a Briskoda sticker on it, howabout -

"My other car is a crumpled cube of steel"?
