Getting quite fed up of the Engine cover rattling. I realise by just taking it off, will make the engine more amplified. But, Does anyone else run there car without the cover on?

I used to have mine off all the time, as did Shifty I believe.

Mine rattles agains the strutbrace since Iinstalled the new TIP.

I need to trim the edge but I daren't so it's been hanging on the garage wall for a month.

Check the rear retaining rubber, these get cut through by the cover. Simple to replace.

Mine's without a cover as well. Couldn't fit it due to the Allard pipework. So I also removed all of the fittings bolted to the engine that the engine cover usually pushed on to. Saved around 200 grams I think.

Is it a handicap to drive without the plastic cover? There is lot of wires, injector and sparking plug cables etc. under the cover and on other side water, dust...
