Fabia with 75k on the clock!

Featured Replies

Hi I own a 2002 52 plate 1.4 mpi fabia 5 door Classic.

I bought the car from Norman fairweather (Dundee) about 19 months ago, with 54k on the clock apart from a new engine idle switch (fitted by dealer before my purchase) its been bomb proof.Im just wondering what problems I should be looking out for around this milage, and how to spot them?

Cheers.

Keep an eye on tyre wear as track rod ends are known to need replacing (mine went at about 55k miles). If you have air con, the evap temp sensor is probably nearing the end of it's life but there is a detailed howto on how to DIY this :D

At the moment tyre wear seems fine but winter will put that to prove over the next while, and I havent got any AC.

Where is the guide for the temp sensor cant find it :S

When is the cambelt due for replacement? If its 80k, I'd be looking to inspect the belt a bit until that time.

And I think the reference to no A-C, meant the car never had it fitted. ;)
