Hi all! My name is Julian, I'm from Malta.

Just joined the forum. I have a 2001 Octavia (Lauren Clement) Tdi 110bhp, 105,000 kms. I have had it for one year now and am very happy with it.

If someone had asked me a few years back if I would ever buy a Skoda the answer would have probably been No.

Having lived with the car for a year now I must say that it has been more reliable and is a better built car than any other I have owned before. Even though it is the least powerful car I have had, it has been one of the nicest ones to drive and now I highly recommend them to anyone.

I'm interested in increasing the power and would like to ask for the advise of the experts or keen enthusiasts who have down this avenue already.

Any advise or tips would be highly appreciated.

Cheers! and have a good one!

Welcome to Briskoda, Julian. :) Do you really need more power given the low speed limits in Malta?

Hi Guys, thanks for the warm welcome.

Its true that speed limits in Malta are officially low, but 135mph can be achieved, on a daily basis for short streches. (Not in the Skoda)

Ever wondered what it would be like to drive in a rally, everyday? Well here its done on public roads.

I've driven in the Uk and other countries many times, but motorway driving is boring. Twisty short roads with lots of roundabouts, is much more fun.

Any info on tweaking my Tdi?

Regards

Julian.

What is the maximum possible Bhp that can be obtained from a 1.9Tdi 110Bhp engine? And what would it entail?

Cheers guys.
