leaking car doors??

Featured Replies

Hi all,

first post on here. I have 2004 Fabia 1.4i.

Recently noticed the drivers footwell has been a bit damp every now and then when i get in. Sunday am got into car and there was a large pool of water there. It had rained heavily last couple of days so i am currently guessing it is rainwater.

This may have een happening for a while as only use car at weekends so in previous instances it may have dried out.

Understand from reading other posts that my vents may be blocked so i'll have a fiddle with that this weekend however other option is that its the door seal.

Problem is that a lorry drove into the drivers side whilst parked @ home last Dec and i had to get the drivers side rear and front doors replaced. If i take it back to the body shop they will no doubt tell me where to go given time elapsed - however if it is the door seal - how is this affected in the warranty?

Any help much appreciated,

thanks,

chris,

Try looking into something called the anciliary carriers - should show up in the search
