I discovered this forum back in mid-2005 while searching for info about the new VRS and I've been keeping an eye on it since.I'm writing today because I finally decided to sell (and sold) my 2000 Octavia 1.8T Laurin & Klement having just broken the 100.000 km barrier and placed an order for a Octavia 5 VRS.

I went for blue race since black made the car look small,silver made it look dull and plain and red "absorbed" the brake calipers and the rear bumper reflectors.To be honest,having seen all 4 colours in the flesh,blue was the only way 2 go .The extras I chose are xenons,cruise control,maxi dot,rear parking sensors and 18' alloys.Here in Greece,the climatronic and jumbo box are fitted as standard.

So the 3 and a half month torment of waiting has just begun. I have already made plans for the "off-switch" of the climatronic since I read the DIY guide and I'm looking forward to tamper with the settings via vag-com.

Anyway,I'm glad there are communities like this (also VWVortex and Skodaclub.gr) though which we can exchange knowledge and opinions.
