I dont think he did a guide on it, but have a look at my anti creak guideas it may help you in removing the center vent.

Its dead easy from there, just intercept the wire loom for the interior illuminations and run some LED's off this so when you have your lights on the vents light up.

I might do it next week if I have time and will take photos etc to make a guide and post it.

cool, i`m off next week with not a lot to do so was gonna tackle it, dont want to break the centre vent as that would severly pi55 me off, the lots cost £5 from halfords, for a pack of four red leds, dont knwo if they going to be any good but will try, thanks for your help mike

When I do it it would be very low powered green LED's so the light was as subtle as possible and blended with the rest of the interior lights. But, its whatever floats your boat!
