Greetings all. I have finally got round to registering on this site having spent the last 8 months reading your threads.

Does anyone have any tyre recommendations for the Fabia VRS on standard rims. Given the time of year, something good it the wet would be good.

Cheers :)

Welcome to Briskoda. :) Try using the Search facility as I am sure there has been recent feedback on tyres from members.

uniroyal rainsports

goodyear F1 or excellence

pirelli p-nero-zero's

all of the above get my vote... wierdly enough, I'm gonna try some Avon rubber next, as my local tyre place gave me a great deal on them when I went there armed with a list of internet prices ;)

I'd swear by Toyo Proxes (pref T1s for anything with W-rated tyres as standard), and don't reckon you'll find that opinion anyplace else (other than by hunting by user name, and as a newbie you'd not have known which name to search for).

I have toyo proxies.

for my 2p view: -

In the wet most excellent

In the dry very good :D

In damp/greasy not good you have to be careful :( fortunately in the uk we dont get too many times where we have very long dry spells with downpors thrown in )

Next time will look to something else.

I've yet to find any tyre that is actually good in greasy conditions.

Goodyear F1's stick like glue in everything but snow!! if its snowing stay at home!

just ordered some kumho ku31s from mytyres.co.uk Will let you know how I get on!

I rated them on my departed Fabia.

215x40x16

I don't care now though, I hope they prove to be sh!t.

Goodyear F1s (have them fitted at the mo, best tyre I've ever ran) or UniRoyal Rainsport 1s.

Steve
