HI Although I've just registered as a new member, I have been reading your threads for quite some time now. They're great and I've learned much about the Fabia. I have the Ambiente 1.2 12v. It's been on the road since Feb 06. I quite happy with it. When I chose the Fabia I was looking for economy and reliability. Glad to become a member with you all . Is the 1.2 12v common in the UK? It's quite popular here in Malta and it's great for a small island like ours where we do not have long journeys. I've had a problem this morning, the Synphony radio/cassette would not switch on - yesterday it was OK. Any suggestions. Probably a fuse but haven't had a chance to look at them. Is the fuse for the radio/cass only? Thanks and keep it up

Regarding the synphony radio/cassette. The fuse was OK. The next day it worked ok after switching the ignigtion. Now after 2 months it stopped again. The next day it was OK and now it stopped again. Any ideas what's happening before i take it to Skoka?

Fuse for glove box light?

The light in the glove box has stopped working. I know the bulb is okay, and I’ve used a multimeter across the contacts on the connector which is showing no voltage at all. Going through the list of fuses, the glovebox light fuse is not listed separately or even as a part of other lighting. It would be useful to know the correct fuse and if any other items also tie to it, since everything else works fine and it can narrow it down to the switch. Thanks in advance!

Having issues with the p2196 engine code. Code reader reads bank1 stuck so had it replaced today by a garage and its clearly new but after 30 miles of her eating fuel like ive never seen before the engine code has come back on with the same code. Only had the car 3 months but it has got egr and dpf delete so could this play a part into why this code is recurring or could it be electrical issue. It definitely has electrical issues as it tells you to check numberplate lights that are clearly worki

Hey guys, Sadly it's looking like my Octavia days which have been pretty brilliant could be at an end, unless I can find a replacement engine. Looking like a blown head gasket/cracked/warped head so it's not driveable now and boiling away (95C+ even without the thermostat in). It's also had a burning engine oil issue for years. It's a 110 ASV engine. So my options are: Say goodbye to my brilliant Octavia ☹️ Try and find a replacement engine, throw it in and hope. Downsides are obviously the

I ran SVM TOWAB with Odis S yesterday and it went through and updated, coded and adapted a bunch of modules. But when I tried to pull a trailer today it didn't recognize it, parking sensors beeping and emergency braking in reverse. What could it be?

A few weeks ago I noticed a blow coming from exhaust so a quick trip down to my local centre, it needs a new mid and rear sections 1z0253609ah and 1k0253209eg but they cant source either part, turns out both are heavily lacking aftermarket support and zero stock of oem in the UK. I even had a exhaust parts specialist on the case and nothing. So the last 2 weeks I've delved deep into info about fitment. The ccza and bga 2.0 tfsi petrol vrs octavia does share the same exhaust from the cat back. Yo
