Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2003 R2

Featured Replies

Just installed windows server 2003 R2 version as opposed to the normal 2003 server version. They both look the same to me, does anyone know what the differences are?.

R2 has an extended schema, and better support for things like DFS. In theory the 1st disk is virtually the same in the r2 set, it is the second disk which contains the new bits.

Interesting, so it looks liek disk 1 is basically normal 2003 with SP1.

I like the idea of folder quotas on R2 to as oppose to disk quotas.

Hoping to install R2 when I upgrade the servers.
