Featured Replies

What the hell is this Blue washing line thing fitted to this guys Fabia listed on Ebay?

Looks like some kind of strut thingy, but can't see why it's only attached with a line of some sort.

So what is it

Is it just some kind of bungee cord to protect his ICE?

Do you actually know the answer and it's a quiz or are you fishing? :P

He looks like the organised type of guy; what with a fire extinguisher (although its more accessible in the pasenger compartment, attached to the driver's seat), something strapped in back-left by the lights and the boot tidy.

My guess is a bungee strap for when he puts other items in the boot.

It's used to attach a rope to pull cars out of ditches??? similar to the use of front strut brace:D

It could just be for a roof rack or other. If nothing else, it saves getting a couple of bungee straps in a tangle

Stop the amp slipping out I'd say.

I do the same for stuff in my boot, just a couple of bungee cords hooked into existing hooks, works a treat, stops things rolling about and you have the bungies in case you are taking something and the boot won't close.

Stop the amp slipping out I'd say.

I reckon that's a CD changer. My set-up's only slightly better, with it attached to the nearside rear wheel arch by merit of some bolts poked through the carpet lining (never did get round to bonding the brackets to the metal of the arch! )

Odd that he'd attach the extinguisher to the seat back with screws (wouldn't fancy leaning too hard on the seat back! ), but not the changer...?

Yep, just a bungee to hold the amp in place. I could do with a couple for the Focus.

Isn't the amp in the spare wheel well? :P

I reckon they're just there because it stops them rattling around loose in the boot - don't think they actually serve any purpose :D

Chris

yeah, jus there to hold thing like bags etc in place as things sliding about in the boot can be annoying.
