The five-hundred-thousandth vehicle this year left Škoda Auto's assembly line today. The car marking the threshold is a Škoda Roomster.

The year 2006 is a record-breaking one for Škoda Auto in all respects: the company reached the number of vehicles manufactured last year, i.e., 494,637, already on November 20, 2006. On November 22, 2006, Škoda Auto got over the threshold of 500,000 vehicles manufactured within a single year, for the very first time in its history. The car manufacturer is planning to sell over 530,000 vehicles over 2006, another all-time production and sales record.

From January until November this year, the company achieved record-breaking sales in over 20 countries, including Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Spain, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, India and Taiwan. Compared with the same period of 2005, Škoda Auto has increased delivery volumes in over 35 countries. Škoda vehicles are sold in 90 countries.

Reacting to customers' growing demand for the Roomster, Škoda's fourth model line, the company set up a third shift to manufacture this small MPV in the Kvasiny plant as of October 22, 2006.

The carmaker is planning to manufacture over 20,000 Roomsters by the end of 2006.

Employing 26,000 people, Škoda Auto currently manufactures vehicles in five countries: the Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, India, Kazakhstan and the Ukraine. Moreover, the company is going to start manufacturing Škoda vehicles in China and Russia in 2007.

Selling that many cars they could employ a Techie to help out Briskoda and do two way feedback.

Mmm yes they could assist Briskoda and I am sure it would not cost them loads , as I would assume that this GREAT and informative forum has helped to sell a good few of those , could you call it FREE advertising?

Mmmm
