...Has anyone got any photos of the drive train system fitted to the mk.1 Octavia 4x4? i.e. gearbox, rear diff etc.

I have never seen the underside of the 4x4 and wanted to see what is there.

I have been toying with the idea of swapping my vRS for a 4x4 because I want more traction...especially for when I get the stage 3 IHI jabba conversion, I just can't justify swapping everything over from my vRS into a 4x4:( .....will have to stick to fwd and get some racing slicks when the IHI is done I reckon.......

What is the ground clearance and is there sump guard?

no sump guard as standard but may be added and ground clearance as standard is quite good but mine leaves a hell of a lot do be desired

especially after breaking a sump
