whats the best ones to get has anyone ran a tavia de cated ? anyone tried a supersprint race system ??

I had a Milteck on my Octavia RS - not too loud and very well made

PM TaviaRS (Jon) or DaveU (Dave) about the H&S decat system.

Several Briskodians have the full Milltek - Mannyo (Manny), Delcac (Des) used to have a full Milltek and then a H&S decat system.

I have the Milltek sports dp/cat and a Jetex cat back as does Barry_vrs.

I believe there are only 3 of us who have the Jetex cat back.

Dave used to have a Powerflow cat back (thin it's still in his garage) and I think Shugz as has one.

Can think of anyone who has a Supersprint...nice systems though...heard good things about them for VDubs.....not sure if they do anything for the Octy RS though.

yeah supersprint do a full race system for the tavia 2 different down pipes available.

i had one on the 172 70mm race system inc decat gave a rather nice 12-14 bhp but sounded evil set caralarms off all the time and popped and banged like a beast

Bit harsh innit?? The 'old' pipe on the RS needs to be cut off anyway. I'd rather trust someone who does this type of work everyday than entrust to some 17 yr old grease monkey from kwik fit....

im talking about powerflows lack of knowledge when it comes to making a good exhaust only ever heard of one dealer that was any cop thats burnley

they are a franchise dont see how they are ever going to be any good just welding pipes together and asking how loud do you want it and most i have seen have had very poor welding skills. supersprint make top quality exhausts each system is tested fully R&D happens on every system unlike powerflow.

I was happy with my Powerflow exhaust done by Topgear in St Albans. As said above they do it all day everyday and are quite proficient at it. They gave me EXACTLY what i was after. I only changed because i was given the chance to be a dev car with an H&S decat system which i jumped at!

yes but unfortunatly exactly what your after and a good exhaust can be totally seperate things

see what the owner wanted but is it a good exhaust i doubt it even the pipes arnt level lol i doubt any serious exhaust manufacturer would even try it

The standard dp and cat is a single piece but it doesn't need to cut to be removed. It's probably easier to cut if you're doing it yourself but, it can be removed in one piece....apparently you have to twist it to get it past the cross member or, you can remove the cross member.

Supersprint do produce quality exhausts but they are expensive. As has been said..."you pays your money...".

Who cares about the quality of the welding? Not me when it's got a lifetime guarantee and it's shoved up underneath the car out of site. Have to agree with DaveU mine was fitted to my exact specifications and I'm really pleased with the results. The fit is also alot better than some off the shelf items...

I would agree that companies selling off the shelf items have the benefit of product development so I would agree they probably offer better full systems. Hence why I opted for a cat-back custom system only.

I do think it's unfair just to dismiss out of hand without evidence to back up your claims.

no worries will try to get the evidence compiled there are quite a few on cliosport.net that have had lots of trouble with them falling apart :( but i also know a few that have had good ones only seem to come from the burnley center tho
