Skoda Fabia 1.4 8v G62 fault

Featured Replies

Engine management light came on my sis's 2001 fabia the other day so i hooked it up to VAG-COM:

16502 engine coolant temp sensor (g62): signal too high

p0118 - 35-10 intermittent

17549 P1141 Load Calculation Cross Check Range/Performance

Now I see on here lots of 1.8T engines having the G62 fault - but no 1.4s. Is it the same fault?

Can anyone tell me the part number for the G62 sensor on this car - is it 06A919501 ??? all i could find on Etka.

I take it the 2nd error is due to the first - or are they unrelated? Cheers.

Wow snowed under by the response lol.

Anyway i changed the above sensor and all is well. £27 inc the seal from Skoda dealer, which is a complete rip off as the same thing for my Mk2 Golf GTI is £6.

Dead easy to change - whip the engine cover off (2 bolts) and it is staring you in the face. Pull the plastic C clip off and the sensor pulls out easily.
