Yep, I wouldnt have this done at a dealer, especially on the old 2.0 engine!

Find a trustworthy small garage or one-man-band type affair, and get him to do any tensioners and the water pump at the same time. I'd expect to pay circa £200.

Yep. Because its quite a time consuming process and you cant easily DIY.

they would tell me though im gussing if things need attention?

2 weeks ago I had the belt, water pump, tensioner and idler replaced on my PD100 Fabia. This was done by a local garage who I trust.

The cost was

Definitely not, which is one reason why it's good to go with a main dealer :D My 60k service including cambelt cost be about

just for everybody's info, i will be doing a DIY how-to guide on changing the belt on a 2.0 furby in the near future
