For information:

Both upper and lower OMP strutbraces for the SEAT Ibiza Cupra fit the Fabia vRS.

The only alteration I had to make was to cut a slot around 400mm x 30 in the aft part of the engine undertray. The tray is made of PVC and is easily trimmed using a dremel with a small cutting tool or grinding wheel in.

The slot allows the tray to fit back in place around the lower brace which is about 10mm lower than the tray in its original position.

I've just ordered a wiechers alloy lower brace for mine, how much did the OMP one set you back?

Is there a significant difference in terms of feel, from a lower front strut brace?

I had both upper and lower braces on my Corsa (with coilovers) and found the front end really sharp on handling.
