that is SWMBO's Fabia 1.4 16V Elegance

Hello everyone, been reading the site for a long time, finally taken the plunge, as I have a puzzling question......but first,

It is a cracking little car, only let let down by the odd electrical gremlin and silly things like washer pipes coming adrift. I have a Volvo estate but prefer to drive the Fabia, I cannot believe the 'big car' feel, and it has a generous amount of toys as well. I'm hoping that she'll get fed up with me not cleaning it so the that she wants to trade it in for a nice clean VRS - cunning plan or what?

I'm off to the Fabia forum now with my puzzling question,

This might be just a coincidence. But I have just had a new windscreen fitted following a rock being thrown up by a lorry's wheels hitting it, which left a small chip, which after a few days became a long crack and was growing. The screen was replaced last week, and yesterday I discovered the seat was not responding to the controls. I cannot see any fuse listed in the owner's manual which states it supplies power to the seats. The driver's seat is working as usual, which made me think it must b

Hoping to purchase a 2.0l TSi Sportline/Laurin & Klement variant at some point soon. My budget may result in me seeking out a vehicle with 95K onwards on the clock. I’ll be only considering something with a full comprehensive service history. My understanding is that I shouldn’t worry about cam chain tensioners as they go on and on. But do they? So is there anything I should really looking out for? Thanks

Real world range from hybrid battery?

I'm driving a 2024 1.5 TSI PHEV (plug in hybrid) superb estate. I've never plugged it in though, only ever driven it on petrol. The manufacturers claimed battery range is 75 miles but can anyone tell me what I can expect in the real world? Just for info... Over the 20 months I've had it I average about 40/41mpg. It drops to about 36/38mpg in winter and up to 44/45mpg in summer.
