Came up with the following from http://www.skoda-avto.ru so if available in the UK fitting should be easy... Although having lifted up the gaiter I have to holes that line up as if to take some sort of lock, but they are on the left and the picture shows the lock on the right.

Mechanical gear lever lock

- gear lever lock' date=' tightly connected to the body shell

- gear lever locked in the reverse gear

- kit contains one lock, three keys, fitting pieces and a security card for eventual production of spare keys

- the assembly can only be done by trained workers

- DVC 600 001 for 5 and 6 speed gearbox

- DVC 600 003 for automatic gearbox

Spoke to dealer yesterday, Option number not listed, but it may be listed under Part number. Next time I'm passing I'll drop off a copy of the PDF and let them do some research...

I checked with SUK via e-mail same result as above have sent them the PDF they are looking into it (allegedly)

Bear in mind that the part number may be different between the left hand drive version and the right hand drive version, which might explain the lack of obvious part number...

Had a call from SUK today they state Part has NOT been approved for UK Market?

This could possibly be due to translation problems in the fitting instructions or a multitude of other reasons.

They will keep me updated

Thanks for this - the more I think about this "option" the more I like it...

I wonder if they'll respond sooner of more people ask for it...

Looking at this even SUK said it looked a good piece of kit.

Spookily it is already available for the Fabia Part Number DVC 400 001, and I agree this is a realy good piece of additional Security If the sh**s nick your car they can only go backwards

Anyone know if the Gear Lever lock is available in the UK to retro fit?

Was at the dealer yesterday. It is listed in the Octavia accessories brochure that was on display. Checked the publication number and it was a UK one.

What was the UK part number? SUK say available for Fabia DVC 400 .......

but not available foe Octy II

What was the UK part number?

There was no part number for the lock kit but the brochure itself was a UK edition. That strongly implies that the lock kit is available.

mmmmmmmmmm will get back in touch with SUK as there is at least 1 to be fitted in UK when available

will let you know outcome

WOW the Russians dont even have the OctyII estates yet, has anyone told em its out?? Who said communism's dead?
