I'm glad you like the photos!

First two are taken with wide angle lens (sigma 10-20), and last two are HDR photos... which means that they are made of 9 different exposures, in order to mantain correct lighting in every part of the frame.

Yep, you've guessed it right - the middle photo is both HDR and wide :D

Anyway, more photos coming up soon....

Very nice, what do you make of the 10-20 Sigma? And what camera was the lens attached to? :)

Very good, top shots

10-20 was attached to Nikon D200, which was attached to Manfrotto 055 PRO tripod via 322RC2 head :D 10-20 is great lens for car photography

Hi Steve

Sorry to butt in. I have the Sigma 10-20 as well. It is a very nice wide angle for APSC sensor digital cameras. Mine is usefully sharp all the way out to the corners at all apertures. It does suffer a little vignetting up to f5.6 and there is a small amount of distortion near the edges of the frame at 10mm which is not visible in most subject material. The vignetting and distortion are easily corrected with PT lens plugin.

Before buying it I did back to back comparisons with the Sigma 12-24 and the Tamron and Konica Minolta 11-18. In terms of sharpness and contrast, I think it superior to the Tamron and KM lenses. It is well built and focusses quickly and accurately. Optically, the Sigma 12-24 is superior to the others, it has very even illumination and no distortion at all. However, at short focal lengths, the differences in field of view are pretty large. See here for a FOV comparison chart I did based on 1.6x crop factor digital camera:

I bought one as a stopgap while I waited for the 12-24 Sigma to be in stock, but am so happy with it that I will now not be bothering with the 12-24.

Oh and ftoje, excellent shots, what HDR software are you using on these?

Chris
