Hey all, just about to fit some infinity speakers to my front doors, but does anyone know which colour wire is + and which is -. Or is it a simple case of which ever wire has the brown stripe is -.

Can't help you with the colours but if you want to try and work it out you could try briefly (and I mean that!) placing an AA battery across the original speaker terminals using some bits of wire.

When you see the cone move towards the front of the speaker then you have the correct polarity, then it's just a case of working out which pin of the plug goes to the positive you used on the speaker.

As for the colour coding unfortunately I've seen black stripe used as both positive and negative.

I personally use the stripe as a positive marker when running new cables but that's just my preference!
