disc to disc copying advice

Featured Replies

i am using nero7 ultra full version and when i try to copy disc to disc using both my drives the blank always get spat out saying that there isnt enough room even though the disc i am trying to copy is not an original and is in fact the exact same disc as what i am trying to copy to,this happens on both dvd's and cd's.

i have gotten around it by disabling the drive that nero uses for the original and am using the rewrite drive by allowing it to create the image for burning first but i would rather be able to use both drives, any ideas.

while i am on the subject of annoying problems would anyone know why my clock is always about 5 mins fast.if i synchronise it then the time will set correctly but within a couple of hours it is 5 mins fast again although it never goes anymore than about 5 mins out:mad:

Regarding the clock. Are you using XP? Are you allowing windows to sync its time automatically from an Internet time server?

Try a different time server if its lets you enter one. Google search for "public ntp servers".

Either that or turn the fecking thing off...

PS - Regarding Nero 7. I had so much trouble with V7 that I dumped it and put V6 back on. Sorry I cant offer any more help.

It's the latter :D

can you not set your nero to 'overwrite? my copy of nero 6 does if a disc is longer than it *normally* is

Oh, and my clock is usually five mins or so out, too.. and Im DEFFO not a mug ;)

the size thing is usually a copyright protection that some companies use to fool copying programs like nero if you look on the net for dodgy copying software that will fix the problem.

Not in this case it seems. Jas says he has a workaround which involvves using the same dive for reading and burning and caching to disk in between the 2 stages. This suggests a config problem or issue with Nero 7 software itself.

May I suggest that if its a legal copy of Nero 7 that you check their FAQs for clues or if that fails email their technical support. You may also want to download the latest patches for V7 which could have a resolution for your issue.

If its not a legal copy then shame on you....
