Rear wash on estate

Featured Replies

Hi folks. Happy new year all!

My rear screen wash on the estate misses the glass altogether and sprays the bumper. The nozzle sticking out of the high level brake light doesn't look adjustable. Is it?

Can anybody tell me how? I'd hate to break it.

(Couldn't find this in the threads, apologies if I've missed it.)

Hi Fred,

Mine did exactly the same. It is adjustable. I used a small needle and gently inserted it into the actual spray hole and moved it till it hit the rear screen. Very easy to do a real 10sec job.

Mine's done this for over a year and I only ever remember when I come to use it!!!!

Strangely enough mine did the same, and had to adjust it. Problem is the screen so messy the wiper just smears it !

Mine was spraying the car behind. I adjusted it by sticking a straightened paper-clip up the hole:eek: and tweeking it until the water jet hit the rear screen.

can anyone tell me if the new octavia has the same problem with the wash hose splitting and water entering into the boot as a result?

Not that I've heard of....

Thanks to Eddie and all of you who responded. The rear wash now aims at the glass instead of the bumper.

Since I'm not the only one, how is it details like this get missed by the dealer on PDI?

Mine has been OK since day one, I don't get it, everyone seems to have a different PDI done on their car.

Maybe Pretty Deliberate Inconsistency is more appropriate
