My MOT is due now and I am in a bit of a quandry. I can afford to have the car off the road as I have use of another one. The thing is the last time I had it serviced there were a few things that needed attention such as the stops and the front anti roll bar. Can anyone recommend a decent local garage in Hemsworth, West Yorks that provide a quality service. Also the diagnostic said that their was a problem with the MAF sensor. Does anyone know the price of this from Skoda UK.

Damn Computerisation as I would just have normally taken it down to the MOT centre see what it failed on then have it retested. I just refuse to pay for the same service twice.

The MAF should be in the region of £70. You can fit it yourself with very few tools and you don't even need to reset the "damn computer"

i think i might have a fully functioning maf down stairs, have you tried just clearing the faults?
