orange broadband help

Featured Replies

i've just returned from an elderly neighbours house

they got BB from orange

ive set it all up its eems ok but when i tried to click on links from either orange homepage or google it just seems to sit there doing nothing

emails come in fine

ive just noticed mines abit slow tonite (coincidence????)

does anyone have any experience of this happining with orange as i've heard there a bit ropey

orange for me are either sold or no existant.

One minute im connected and then some times it wont connect for a good hour or so. Nothing that happens suprises me any more with them

Is it using a Livebox or a Speedtouch Modem ?

If email is coming in fine, then i cant see there being a big problem with the line except if its just on a slow day.

Mine was slow getting going after changing to "free" BB, but it seems reliable now and the only time the connection drops, it's usually my USB dongle.

Is Internet explorer set up to use a proxy server? Not sure if that setting affects just the internet, and not emails? Hence why emails work and the net doesn't?

it s the speed touch modem and i don't think it's set to use a proxy the net kinda works until you click on the links off home pages

just had another thought these people have got sky and a phone going into one socket should the sky box and the phone have separate filters or could they get away with one filter and the 2 way splitter going into one filter

I have a ADSL filter coming out from my main socket and a 2 way splitter in that going to my livebox and my Landline phone, so that should be ok.
