I've tried two different animated gifs for avatars and neither work from the forum (unlike some over people's........ :( not fair)

Anyone know of any limitations on said gifs, or do I need to use another format.

Yep , looks to be animated to me , albeit quite slowly.

If there are any limitations of the file that you have exceeded they should be pointed out when you try and upload it

Think it must just be my machine, checked it using firefox and a vmware box and they worked fine.

if its animated it is either too fast for the human eye to see or so slow i can't comprehend the movement

looks like it's hit n miss then. Prob the gif. I see if I can re-save it using a diff gif encoding
