Downsizing

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, my wife's finally convinced me that the two of us don't need a Passat any longer. Although it's only a humble 1.8S (1999) it's given me 100k miles of pleasure with only fair wear and tear bills.

I'm off to test a Fabia vRS tomorrow, but this "stutter" problem has got me worried. More from me later. :)

Hello and welcome to the mad house:wavey:

welcome :)

Welcome to Briskoda.

Welcome

Don't worry the stutter (when I had a VRS) was un noticeable. Depends how you drive it but you do get used to it.

Also think off all those extra MPG matched with that extra performance :)

Hello and welcome

Thanks for that warm welcome guys and gals. Delivery on my vRS Fabia is mid Feb and I can't wait. It'll be great to drive something that can go round corners better than an armchair (it's amazing what you can get used to  )

The thing that's worrying me a bit is my wife's right foot. A lot of the time I feel that she thinks the gas pedal has only two positions - ON or OFF

It does, doesn't it

Enjoy your car, I certainly still do after 6 months.

Welcome to the site.

Heave you tired taking the heavy metal from SWMB's shoes, so it doesnt press the pedal down so quickly. ;)
