Hi all,

Collected my 04 Silver vRS yesterday, and on the motorway on the way home noticed a strange noise coming from underneath the car. It's like a bopbopbop....bopbopbopbopbopbopbopbop noise and it feels like it's coming from directly under the drivers footwell/ seat.

At first I thought there was something wrong with the O/S front tyre as that's the kind of noise it sounded like but as I slowed down it went away.

It seems to appear at high speed but also at around 30mph with all the wind we've got at the mo, and so I thought there must be something loose under there flapping around, and so I got under it to have a look......but, nothing. The engine and both side undertrays are all in place and all the nuts holding them on are tight.

Anyone got any ideas as to what's causing it? It's got a years warranty as I bought it from a Skoda dealer and so I shall be booking it in to be looked at, but I thought if I could tell them what's wrong with it to begin with it would make life a lot easier.

As I say, it appears more the faster you go.....round town it's non-existent but get it to 30mph and above and it starts bopping away.

Any ideas appreciated.

Ok, it's been to the dealer (Pulleyns in York) and they've said it needs new track rod ends and drop links to cure the noise. I also need a weight kit fitted to my rear calipers to solve the mooing.....all free under warranty.

They've just got to order the bits in now.
