Interior lights on 02 plate Octavia

Featured Replies

After my success elsewhere on this forum with a previous question today, I'm going for broke & looking for some help with another query.

I can't quite fathom out Skoda's reasoning behind having only the front interior lights come on when you open the doors on the older model. Rear seat passengers have to fumble about in the gloom for seat belts & the like. I saw it mentioned somewhere on this site that the rear "reading" lights can be wired into the front ones, so they all come on together, but there was no mention of how to do it or if it is a big job. My mechanical knowledge just about runs to me changing the original headlight bulbs for the excellent Blue Vision thingies, so anything beyond that will be down to the Dealer.

Anybody out there in the ether heard of this?

Reading lights in the rear? Sure I looked for them in the Vrs, and couldn't find any. Should I look harder, would certainly help when putting sprog into his recaro.

The lights are located in the 'grab' handle assembly. Certainly that is the case for my 2001 Elegance estate.
