VRS Grille mods

Featured Replies

Any body done any mods to the front end of their Version 2 VRS. grille changes, Milotec etc any photos would be appreciated.

I don't know of anyone on here who has fitted a 'Milotec' grille, but a couple of people have colour coded the OEM grille which looks pretty good. A very good 'How To' can be found on VRStu's website here

cheers Makefish

Have seen these mods, wonder if Milotec would look better even though they would be more costly.

I'm sure you have looked on Milotec's website where there are a few piccies of various types of aftermarket grilles but personally they ain't for me but if you see one you like go for it, but like I say I don't know of anyone on here having one.

Just one word of caution, you may have to adapt the bonnet pull i.e. cut the plastic lever as some of the Milotec grilles interfere with the release mechanism which is fine all the while you have it on the car but if you decide to put the OEM grille back on then you will have to buy and fit a new bonnet lever!.b

I like this mod on VRStu's website - suits the race blue. However I am not sure it would have the same visual appeal on my black VRs!

I've wondered about colour coding the silver grill surround though or whether or not replacement black ones were available.. anyone know?

I have thought about doing that too but as far as I know you would have to buy the chrome surround and all the bits that go with it and get is sprayed. I worked it out that it would cost at least

not sure but may be worth checkin e-blag, think i saw one in primer on there not long back, unsure if its the same make you've seen but worth a look.

I colour coded the chrome on my mk1 Octavia and it looked really good.

The colour coding of the grill above looks rubbish in my opinion.

Steve

Roo has his crome grill body coloured, and looks very nice.

Harry, any chance of a pic a little closer to the car!!!, can't really see but I'm interested.

+1 here and if possible, give some details.

The pic I posted isn't my car, its Skodaguy's. I believe that the grille is by Milotec as are the light brows. IMO I think the combination of the two looks fantastic on the blue Octavia.

Forgive me if they have been posted before.

Especially the first one looks ashtonishing.

I'm not a massive fan of the grill but can see why some would like it.

I like the lowered look though - perhaps slightly too low but that is hyper critical. Looks way better than standard at that height.

@ Greek Demon - nice car you have there, im liking that a lot:thumbup:

An octy 2 with painted grill that I saw on E-Bay, thought it looked quite good, may do the same thing on mine. (sorry about pic quality).
