My lovely 130PD Tdi Octy estate, that I bought to keep my Furby Vrs company was delivered with an unwanted extra, namely a very loud rattle coming from just inside the drivers side air vent!! ( the one above the light switch!) given my past experience of repeatedly taking cars in for rattles to be fixed only for them to reappear 100 yards the road from the dealers, does anyone know how to remove the said air vent, as I'm sure once its off I could trace the sourse of the noise.

Could be another dashboard mount squeak, but I only know a sure-fire cure for the squeak behind the central air vent. There's sod-all access behind the side air vents so getting a squeak there cured is gonna be harder. sorry...
