Movie download sites

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a good site for downloading movies etc?

I know there are a few of them out there but which are the best / safest?

Should we be promoting Illegal download sites & downloads. ? :(

Newsgroups are the way forward.

I agree with pittVRS

Another vote for binary newsgroups if you have an ISP with a decent newsserver

I use Blueyonder bineries ( newsgroups) and i use the Torrents, at the moment using UTorrent, this was pointed out by a rather delightfull chap on here.....and it works great, just done Black Diamond and Talladega Nights.......

Spevie ( why keep everything yerself, Share with the world xxx)

Can anyone recommend any good binary newsgroups? Or does your ISP have to support it? Why are they better then p2p?

Sorry lots of question but never used these newsgroups, although i have just checked wikipedia and get the idea but wonder how they work in practice.

Thanks

I spent 3 hours getting casino royale last night, only to realise it was the original one? Is it still worth me watching? :o Can't believe I didn't make sure it was the right one first.

1st Casino Royale is a lot daft - but then again you should remember it as it came out around '67

Re Movies

Rapidshare.com is a file hosting service which an immense number of people subscribe to i.e. tons upon tons of movies and other stuff if you know where to look.

Rapidshare.com (not Rapidshare.de - used to be a sister company, now full i.e. new files / films cannot be uploaded there) subscription can be had for

I subscribe to newshosting for £8 per month and get access to a huge number of newsgroups. Far better than my isp provided service and also far quicker. My connection is always running at maximum speed and I download NZB files which makes the process alot simpler.

Why do people bother pirating movies ? Is it because they love the poor sound and picture quality? the lack of dolby enhanced features etc. ?

Have you actually seen the quality of many of the downloaded films?

Plenty of them are near indistinguishable from the retail disk with 5.1 sound.

I paid something like

It always makes me laugh when they show those "pirate films are all unwatchable" nonsense.

The DVD-Rip of superman returns I've seen is perfect as is the one of Apocalypto , and as you say they are targeting the wrong people with their adverts on DVDs and at the cinema. We are the ones spending our money on their products!

The crazy thing about all those anti-piracy things is that they are sooo annoying and the fact they author the disc so you can't skip them means the first thing I do, is rip the stuff and remove all the ads and reburn to DVD, so I guess I'm a pirate then

If there was no such thing as piracy then if you couldn't afford to buy a movie, game or album you would go without. So are they really losing out to piracy in the big way that they claim?

I don't think so.. well not in the big figures they like to quote.

Just so long as you understand that by doing that, you are directly funding international terrorism :D

Fantastic

So considering if I were to be a kitten-killing international terrorism funder, I guess I'd be offered my free pass to Guantanamo
