Vrs Furby Service Cost

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

You may have seen my previous thread about the spanner symbol flashing on the dashboard.

I contacted my dealer hayseldon skoda who we bought the car from they told me the car was due a service soon even though we hadn`t had the car 12 months and the mileage is low.

I also talked to bickerton skoda who told me it wasn`t reset when the car had it`s pdi check but due to low mileage don`t worry.

I asked hayseldon for the cost of a first service they told me

its upto the dealers to decide how much an hour they charge , Skoda will set down how much time a service should take , so 1.5 hours at £70 an hour is going to be more expensive than 1.5 hours at £60 an hour , plus one dealer may have a better deal when they buy their oil in bulk off say Shell or Castrol , so will charge less or more

i used haysleden vw barnsley for years and never had a problem with them, i did notice that their servicing was alot cheaper than everywhere else:).

plus u get nice smelling airfresheners when they do the complementry wash and footwell vac ;)

That price is for a standard lube service plus and "Annual inspection" which you have to have every twelve months. Both prices are OK give or take a few quid and variations are normal as mentioned.

I would get a detailed account form both of them and see of the extra

plus u get nice smelling airfresheners when they do the complementry wash and footwell vac ;)
