lights out on stereo

Featured Replies

Stereo was working fine, but has now lost all power. No lights and won't turn on - dead. There is also no illumination to heating / cooling controls below the stereo. Car is 1.4 Octavia Hatch, 51 plate. Any ideas?

Had this happen a few times on my 1.9 elegance.

I found it to be the fuse coming loose inside the fuse box (literally by millimetres). If you go into fuse box and reference against layout in the manual, you should find a 15amp (blue) fuse. If you take it out and put it back in then that should fix the troubles.

Found it popped out of I went over very big holes but haven't had any troubles from it for ages now. Also, it is really annoying driving your car without the radio!.

Hope that help.s

Thank you very much - it was a loose fuse and I can now get music in the car again. All the best
