This weekend, I have mostly been modding my Octy...

It's not unusual for tyres to need re-balancing after the first 1000 miles or so - my Kumhos went on recently (amazingly without a single balance weight) and felt perfect initially, but now some vibration is developing, so a trip for balancing is on the cards soon.

One thing you should be careful of is not to put too much torque through them just after they're fitted as they can spin on the rim (because of the lubricant they use to get them on), putting your newly fitted weights completely out of kilter with the tyre.

Not had any problems with Micheldever.......no wheel shake what so ever.

Hi Kenny,

Yep they are the 'Variant 2' adjustables.

Those bonnet-stays are sexy.

So are the wheels, but my new camera has left me well-short on the "non-essential purchases" budget for a while :( .

Anyone know if Butts do the bonnet stays? I don't think I can be arsed with fiddling around buying them from Germany.

Chris

p.s. yes, yes, I know I could go look in the catalogue, but I haven't got one handy, and my Boss is hovering menacingly.

are you happy with the KW2 mate? is the ride still ok? how much have you lowered it? i was thinking of 18s and kw2 but i dont want the wheels to rub

I only had the KWs fitted a couple of weeks ago and they have settled down quite nicely now - the ride is firmer but that's how I like it (ooo-er) you can adjust it if you want. It's lowered about 40mm + the wheels only slightly rub on absolutely maximum lock which I hardly ever use.

with kw2 does it start at standard ride hieght or is it already lower(than the vRS)

Stathap - have you had any trouble with Micheldever not balancing your tyres correctly? They used to be fine (been using them for years) but the last 2 sets have both not been balanced properly resulting in some steering wheel shake at high speeds.

Nope, no problems from me. And they've definately had a high speed test now :)

All I can say is Wooooooaaahh Car looking great 110% on effort and love the lexus clusters....

It's giving me Idea's mmmmmmm!!!!
