motul RBF600 brake fluid?

Featured Replies

Is this stuff the dogs danglies?

As I'll soon be upgrading to 4 pots and ds2500 pads on the front, I figured a brake fluid change is on the cards (stuff in there is ancient anyway)

Used to use Silkolene Racing Pro Super Dot 4 in the Scooby and that seemed to be good stuff :D

Well, I'm after the best performance/value trade off.

I also don't know how much I need for a good Fabia flush through and bleeding, including what I need to leave in the reservoir. :o I assume 1.5 to 2 litres for a thorough replacement?

jase, speak to bill @badger5 on cupranet(or here if he's around).bill uses this in his ibiza(theres no need for me to tell you what he does with it, or how powerful a thing it is)

yeah about 2 litres is enough.... but make damn sure the level doesn't drop below miniumum when you are changing it otherwise the abs unit will take a big gulp of air which is nearly impossible to bleed out.....

dont know about that particular fluid tho, never used it, but any fluid is good enough really, so long as it is clean, and of the right grade.... be carefull tho becuase some are harmfull to the seals in the caliper/etc

There is a sticky which describes the fluid types on this area.

Otherwise i know nothing :)

motul rbf600 rocks.. within 5 degree of dry boil point of SRF mega money stuff.

help cure my previous boiling brakes on ibiza.. £8.99+vat for 500ml
