Hi All. quick recap, i asked some questions about my dash lights flicking on and of really fast, this was the Ind, battery and <1>.

right, start car, set off ( all fine ) get abot 5 mins downd road and lights start flashing but now get a steady beep, beep ( around 1-2 sec apart ) and this goeas on for abot 10-15 mins and suddenly stops beeping and flashing, the longer i drive the less it does it, around the time the car is at operating temp it just does it the odd time, 1 beep or flas of said lights on dash, now i read the info that the <1> is only for when towing.......i have niticed that if i go over a big dip in road it does beep and flash, strange ??????.

Gonna check all earth cables, check wires under dash but i really dont have a clue as to why it should beep and flash by going over a bump in the road ????

any ideas, pointers, owt really cos i have 2 days off Thursday/Friday so gonna do some checking, really frustrating me now.

Oh 1 other thing, when i turn thie ignition on the little steering wheel stays on untill i start car then goes off, is this correct or should it go off before starting engine.

the car is great, runs fab ( using miller diesel plus ) its just this anoying beep n flash, it has a Serpico ND5 alarm but dont think this will cause said lights flashing. wonder if Skoda them selves have heard of this, anyone got a number so i can ring and check....

Pretty sure this one is normal

Its when the steering wheel type light stays on after you've started the car that you need to start worrying! I'm just wondering , have you looked under the back of your car to see if there is any evidence of a towbar having been fitted in the past?

I get the following when ignition is on, and they only clear after starting the engine:

steering wheel warning

EPC

Battery

Gearbox

Parking

Well i checked mine again and all light up then left with steering wheel, battery and handbrake light, all go off when started.

I spoke to skoda uk and they tell me it seems like an electrical fault ( no sh#t sherlock ) so i have to take in to let them see.

Got new battery and guess wot....still the same ? thing is that with engine off and key out, when i open the door i get the indicator lights(dash only) and the <1> flashing about 5 times but no beep, keeps doing it every time.

open door get flashes, close door get flashes.......cant be related to the interior light....dunno, frustrated and getting miffed off.......
