No prob! Nikasil issues related to the liners used in alloy blocks such as the m50 (6pot 24v and m60 v8 32v) lumps developed by BMW in early/mid 1990's.

As for keeping/moving on, that decision has yet to be made. she'll need some fettling on the bodywork and a new bootlid either way,
