Bump - Any idea which engine it will have? I am at the point of selling and am still wondering what it looks like, its spec and when its on sale....

Was a few years before the vRS surfaced after the launch of the current Fabia, may be some time yet.

I think I read in one of the mags (or on one of their online editions) that a vRS 'Mk2' is expected sometime in 2008 - there was definately mention of the 2.0 140PS TDI being the expected power-unit. The VW twincharger petrol 1.4 and the (IMHO unlikely) 170PS TDI unit were also mentioned as possibilities. No mention of an exact date, spec or price. To be honest it's not definate that the vRS will be replaced although I guess it's on odds-on bet it will be at some point as it has been quite a popular model for Skoda.

How long did it take between the Octy2 release and the vRS variant of that coming out? That would give you the best idea probably. I'd think around 18 months.
